Today was a plain old day of weather, not too much happened but tonight will change a wee bit. The high today was just about 62ºF and there was a constant SE wind bringing up that moisture and rain from the southern states. We had a broken cloud cover all day but as the barometric pressure dropped, the skies covered up. Currently there is some rain with temperatures in the low 50's and a 9mph wind from the SE. Tomorrow you can expect to see the barometric pressure to continue to drop but the rain will be pushed out of our area and we will have partly cloudy skies for the nearly the entire day. Expect temperatures to peak around 65ºF and for the wind to change directions all day, with the passing of a low pressure system.
Watching this past weekend I was slightly disappointed that a mid-latitude cyclone did not originate over Oklahoma and northern Texas. I believe it was because the jet-stream was cutting off the warm moist air from the gulf from the cold dry continental polar that was moving in over us. I guess we will have to wait until next time.
